Roth Herrlinger, Partner at Evolution, is an executive coach, management consultant and strategic advisor with two decades’ experience assisting companies and nonprofits in a wide variety of industries throughout the U.S. and worldwide. He has worked with startup and established firms as both a senior executive and consultant, leading teams in operations, finance, M&A, strategic planning, process improvement, new business creation and product development.
Roth’s specialty is scaling effective leadership and management, paired with sustainable strategy and execution, in high-growth enterprises and time-honored institutions. He has worked with executives at Slack, Instacart, Nuro, Iterable, Ghost.io, Swift Medical, Regrow, Warner Chappell Music, Participant Media, Havaianas, TITLE Boxing Club, Smith Chason College, pFriem Family Brewers and many other companies. He has also worked with large and small nonprofits in education, environmental sustainability, foster youth development, health, social justice and prison reform, including Heal the Bay, LA Conservation Corps, the Transitional Age Youth Collaborative, Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, Bright Star Schools, STEM Prep Schools, 9 DOTS, DIY Girls, Young Eisner Scholars, Two Bit Circus Foundation and Inside Circle.
He has been the founding consultant and advisor to many social impact startups, most notably JUST Water (end-to-end sustainable bottled water), where he worked with the executive team at Overbrook Studios and the Smith family (Jaden, Will and Jada) to develop the company structure, hire the management team and launch the product.
Roth holds an AB from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and multiple advanced certifications in Enneagram and Eastern & Western Tantric studies. His and other coaches’ work with lifers in Folsom Prison is portrayed in “The Work”, which won the 2017 SXSW Film Festival Grand Jury Award for Best Documentary Feature, and was described by Indiewire as “the most powerful group therapy session ever caught on camera”. He is also an avid pianist and composer, and a former Oakley-sponsored triathlete.
