Caneel Joyce is a dynamic coach, facilitator, strategist and thought leader in the fields of leadership, innovation management and organization development.

Caneel’s background is unique. In addition to extensive professional and doctorate-level training, she possesses a remarkable sense of intuition, supported by a life as an artist and 17 years of technology and startup experience. She’s held a variety of executive and operator roles spanning product, marketing, growth, and design strategy. She was Head of Growth at Britely, the user-generated content platform acquired by Groupon. She’s advised, consulted, and coached clients including Slack, Snapchat, Tumblr, Scopely, Mozilla, Path, Nutmeg, Aspiration, Panasonic, Nutmeg, Disney Games, and Cisco.
Caneel has a PhD in organizational behavior from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and spent 3 years as a professor at the London School of Economics where she taught Organizational Change, Applied Innovation, New Product Development, Negotiations, and Leadership. She has coached fellows and taught the Designing Creative Organizations (“d.Org”) course for leaders and entrepreneurs at Stanford’s Institute of Design (“the d.School”). She has published original research on innovation, team dynamics, product design, and the effects of constraint on creativity in both peer reviewed journals and the business press.
