Carolyn Jones is an executive coach, heart-centered leader, advisor, and champion of entrepreneurs.
The entrepreneurial spirit Carolyn developed at a young age in her grandfather’s grocery store never waned. While her career kicked off in politics and non-profit fundraising, Carolyn saw the difficulty entrepreneurs and founders face in turning their ideas into reality, and what it takes to set the foundation for success.
Most recently, Carolyn served as the Director of Incubation Services at Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI). In this role, she worked towards creating an inclusive green economy by unlocking innovation, working with startups to deploy, scale and accelerate the commercialization of clean technologies. Prior to LACI, she served as the Program Director of Grid110, an award winning non-profit providing free entrepreneurship programs to founders in partnership with the City of Los Angeles.
She is passionate about creating clearer pathways to success for entrepreneurs and is driven to diversify the startup and venture capital ecosystem. She has coached and mentored 300+ early stage companies and small businesses CEO's across a variety of different business verticals and stages - from ideation to MVP with early traction to venture-backed founders looking to grow and scale. Founders have also gone on to programs like Techstars, YCombinator and 500 Startups. Carolyn has also served as program manager for large-scale training and coaching delivery for clients such as Microsoft. She has experience leading program design and facilitation for workshops, including creating and nurturing an entrepreneur mindset, overcoming imposter syndrome, developing one’s personal leadership style, and building self-care into the business model.
Carolyn’s coaching practice is centered around parlaying her in depth knowledge of scaling companies towards supporting founders in their evolution as leaders. She believes founders can grow their company without losing their soul. Founders are the heartbeat behind their companies and she wants to help them achieve their fullest selves, both personally and professionally. She believes there is a path for everyone.
Carolyn is a graduate of Evolution’s ICF ACSTH-accredited Executive Coach Training program. She holds a Master's degree from USC and a Bachelor's degree from Santa Clara University. She is a certified Breathwork Instructor, wellness advocate and nature enthusiast. She hosts outdoor book clubs and mindfulness hikes and gatherings.
