Role Summary:

As the Chief of Staff, you will be a critical partner to the CEO and a central force in orchestrating Evolution’s transition to an AI-enabled organization. You’ll drive strategic initiatives, foster alignment across the Platform Team and broader Partnership, and ensure the successful execution of AI-powered product rollouts and operational changes. This role blends business strategy, AI product thinking, and organizational operations.

The ideal candidate will bring a sharp product orientation, fluency in emerging AI capabilities, and the ability to steward cross-functional execution in complex, evolving environments. You’ll also have a strong grounding in finance, with the ability to partner closely with finance leadership on budgeting, performance tracking, and capital planning. Experience with venture fundraising and investor engagement is a major plus, as is exposure to company transitions such as acquisitions, integrations, or new partner onboarding.

This is a unique opportunity for a leader with exceptional communication, product fluency, and project management skills to shape the future of a mission-driven company redefining leadership development through technology.

Responsibilities:

Drive Operational Excellence & Margin Expansion

  • Partner closely with the CFO and Head of Finance to translate vision into annual operating plans, budgets, and performance targets for the services P&L

  • Design and continuously refine the core operating model—capacity planning, pricing, delivery quality, and utilization—to improve margin and client impact

  • Act as the CEO’s strategic sparring partner on services growth, framing trade-offs on new offerings, market expansion, and resource allocation

  • Run disciplined business rhythms (forecast reviews, pipeline health checks, post-mortems) that turn financial insights into decisive operational action across consulting, coaching, and platform teams.

  • Support capital planning and financial modeling to evaluate investment in new initiatives, staffing, or offerings, including implications for profitability and scalability

  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate tracking of product development ROI, AI integration costs, and the impact of strategic decisions on the bottom line

Strategic Execution and AI Product Enablement

  • Partner with the CEO in defining and executing strategic priorities, with an emphasis on embedding AI product capabilities into all facets of the business

  • Translate high-level goals into executable product and operational plans, particularly around the deployment, integration, and scaling of AI tools across the organization

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ensure alignment between organizational needs and AI solution development; track product development cycles and organizational readiness milestones

  • Identify gaps, blockers, and opportunities related to AI enablement adoption and help accelerate cultural and operational readiness

  • Help evaluate the financial and operational readiness of the company to seek outside capital, and partner with the CEO on materials or models for investor conversations or future fundraising rounds

  • Drive strategic clarity and integration for any acquisition or partnership-related efforts, coordinating cross-functional onboarding, legal/contractual alignment, and cultural integration

Partnership Alignment and Communication

  • Coordinate across Managing Partners, the Partner Council, and the Platform Team to align on priorities, outcomes, and communication strategies as Evolution shifts toward AI-native ways of working

  • Develop communication plans to keep stakeholders informed and engaged in product rollouts and AI-driven organizational changes

  • Serve as a key translator between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity, transparency, and adoption across the firm

  • Support onboarding and operational integration of new partners, acquisitions, or investor-backed entities, ensuring a seamless and values-aligned transition into the Evolution ecosystem

Cross-Functional Project Management

  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that are foundational to Evolution’s AI transformation — including governance evolution, partner experience redesign, and internal capability building

  • Manage product-adjacent workstreams (e.g., launch coordination, feedback loops, operational readiness) with rigor and agility

  • Establish clear roles, timelines, and KPIs to ensure smooth execution and effective collaboration across cross-disciplinary teams

  • Oversee diligence and implementation workflows for external partnerships or transactions, including alignment on systems, legal structures, and cross-functional execution

Meeting Rhythm and Decision-Making

  • Own and optimize meeting structures (e.g., Leadership Council, Partner Circles, All-Partner) to drive informed decisions, integrated thinking, and agile responses to product or organizational pivots

  • Design agendas that prioritize high-leverage topics; facilitate clear next steps and accountability

Feedback and Problem Resolution

  • Act as a trusted conduit for feedback across the partnership, with special attention to friction or opportunity emerging from AI product implementation

  • Proactively surface patterns and insights from feedback to inform iteration and adoption strategies

  • Facilitate resolution of cross-functional challenges quickly and thoughtfully

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in organizational strategy, product operations, or project leadership roles — ideally within tech-forward or consulting environments

  • Strong product acumen with experience supporting or launching AI-enabled products or tools

  • Deep experience collaborating with Finance, with comfort in budgeting, capital planning, and performance modeling

  • Experience supporting venture fundraising, investor communications, or M&A/integration workstreams a strong plus

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complex product, technical, and organizational ideas into accessible language and plans

  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively at the intersection of product, people, and process — especially during periods of change or uncertainty

  • Proven experience supporting senior leadership teams and navigating executive-level decision-making

  • Deep familiarity with project management tools and methodologies

  • High emotional intelligence, curiosity, and a systems-thinking mindset

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $150,000 - $225,000 plus equity

  • 4 Weeks PTO

  • 401K matching & contribution

  • Health, Dental & Vision Insurance

  • Personal Development stipend

  • Opportunities for professional development and growth in a cutting-edge AI environment

  • A collaborative, supportive, and mission-driven work culture
