Role Summary:
As the Head of Engineering, you will be a pivotal leader responsible for all technical initiatives at Evolution. Your primary focus will be on the architecture, hands-on development, and enhancement of our flagship AI Copilot and its related platform services. Reporting directly to the CEO and working in close collaboration with the Leadership Council, you will define our technical strategy, oversee product roadmaps from an engineering perspective, provide hands-on coding execution, and eventually manage our engineering teams and partnerships. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring our AI solutions are not only technologically advanced but also deeply aligned with our values and designed to embed human wisdom.
Responsibilities:
Technical Vision & Strategy:
Define and drive the overarching technical vision and strategy for Evolution's AI product development, with a primary focus on the AI Copilot and supporting platform tools.
Translate business needs and strategic objectives into clear and actionable technical roadmaps and priorities.
Identify and evaluate emerging AI and related technologies to ensure Evolution remains at the forefront of innovation.
Engineering Expertise:
As we scale up, you will be primarily functioning as a lead engineer. As we grow, you’ll lead and manage internal engineering teams and external technology partnerships to ensure the high-quality and timely delivery of AI-powered solutions.
Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.
Maintain and enhance a scalable and reliable infrastructure to support our AI products and platform services.
Ensure robust data security and compliance practices are embedded within our engineering processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders across Finance, Operations, and Product to align technology investments with overall business goals and priorities.
Effectively communicate technical concepts and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including the CEO and Leadership Council.
Provide technical guidance and expertise to inform product strategy and roadmap decisions.
Culture of Innovation & Excellence:
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering organization.
Encourage experimentation, learning, and the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
Champion best practices in AI ethics, data stewardship, and responsible AI development within the engineering team.
Qualifications:
Proven track record of successfully building, deploying, and scaling AI or data-driven software products from concept to production.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively translate complex business needs into clear technical strategies and solutions.
Deep understanding of AI ethics, responsible AI development, data privacy, and data stewardship principles.
Comprehensive knowledge of emerging AI technologies, machine learning frameworks, and cloud-based platform services.
Passion for the potential of AI to integrate with and enhance human wisdom, driving meaningful innovation.
Experience leading and managing engineering teams and external technical partnerships.
Demonstrated ability to maintain scalable infrastructure, ensure high code quality, and implement robust data security measures.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $175,000 - $250,000 annually
