Closing 2023 and Welcoming 2024

As the year winds down, it's a moment for us at Evolution to collectively reflect on the journey we've shared – a year marked by significant growth, challenges, and deep learning. We appreciate this period of introspection as one of the only truly quiet moments of the year for many of us.

As always, humanity is faced with age-old issues around war, strife, and inequity. Amidst these challenges, all humans move through life with essentially the same needs, wanting to live with joy, peace, and dignity. For many of us, this year was also one of transition and liminality. There is a collective sense a few years post-pandemic that we are transitioning to a new way of being as a planet politically, economically, socially, and even spiritually. The future can seem clouded as we are in the middle of that change.

Human beings are incredibly resilient, and we are adapting right now to the challenges we face. More of us than ever are engaging in personal development and mindfulness practices previously used by a few. Technology is revolutionizing global food practices and sustainability. People are living longer than ever. As Peter Diamandis and his research have said, we are as a whole, better off than we have ever been. This doesn’t mean that there isn’t more work to do, and as we look to 2024, we can all commit to the part we want to play.

We believe that business remains a critical point of intervention on the planet and that supporting Evolutionary Businesses is a way to support life itself. This is only the beginning of this exploration, and there is a long road ahead, but examples of the good that can be done are many, including by many of you reading this note. Thank you for your leadership and stewardship. It is an honor to support you.

We encourage you to take some quiet time over the next few weeks to reflect on what this past year has meant to you and what you would like 2024 to be. Consider how you hope to grow, find meaning and impact, and be of service. We hope you can also find some quiet moments to recharge and connect with others you deeply care about.

Thank you for being an integral part of this extraordinary journey. Your presence, insights, and commitment to growth enrich our community immensely. We look forward to all we will explore and achieve together in the coming year.
